I’ll give it to you straight…
There is no roadmap on “how to business.”
And if there is, then it probably requires an investment of only 3 easy payments of ten thousand dollars and is being offered by a dude in a cheesy blazer next to a car. Amirright?
And yet, despite these cheesy tactics and super fake “professional” profile pics… for every day I wake up, I love marketing MORE and more.
I mean that.
I don’t mean the sheisty people who spam you with emails and PMs on how to improve your SEO with their 7 step process (and all you have to do is block out two hours on Friday during work to hear their sob story and buy their thing within the next 20 minutes to grab 25 bonuses worth $2 million dollars).
Not at all, actually.
(And who else here is kinda fed up with webinars, too?)
What I mean is…
I love marketing myself, MY WAY.
And what I’m about to share with you may seem like crazy talk, but I hope you’ll take a moment to let it simmer and give yourself some grace to… well, calm the fuck down.
Here’s where I’m coming from:
I love the idea of personal branding and online businesses, and the fact that you can let your guard DOWN and make even more money than you made when you were trying to appear extremely professional and qualified.
No awkward posing next to a rented porsche required. (#burn)
I love that you don’t need ANY of the fancy words and tools and jargon that you’ve learned in the millions of freebies you’ve got saved in that “folder of freebies I’ll never really ever touch again but I’m hanging onto, anyway.”
I love how vulnerable, inexperienced, underqualified, and unworthy we ALL feel once we get to know each other — and the fact that it really doesn’t matter, because you can start with what you’ve got and go from there.
I love how easy it is to connect with REAL people behind the computer screen.
It really is easy.
Simply say something genuine, and you’ll touch them.
Say something helpful, and they’ll grow and benefit, even if it’s only in a small way.
Be a normal human being and ask them how they’re doing, and that will deliver GOBS more value than the sleazy “I teach people how to ____, PM me.”
But here’s the truth:
My technical skill set and knack for moving in fast forward is handy, but it’s not what lights me up.
- I can literally make a challenge in two days. Have it written, uploaded, designed, and ready to rock in 48 hours.
- I can launch a 6 month mastermind in less than a month, feeling confident and excited about what’s coming.
- I can set up a sales page in less than an hour, and have a week’s worth of promo posts pre-written in the next hour.
But a challenge, funnel, sequence, tutorial, academy, whatever, ALL OF IT — doesn’t mean a damn thing unless I keep the end goal in mind. So here it is —
My end goal is to give you RELIEF.
My intention is to make things easier for you, so you have LESS “work that feels like work” and MORE “I can’t believe I get to concentrate on what I really WANT to concentrate on.”
My mission is to show you (or at times, drag you kicking and screaming) down the “easy way” path so you stop spending SO much time trying to cover all your bases, learning ALL THE THINGS, and still not feeling deeply fulfilled.
My hope is that once you DO “calm the fuck down” you can then concentrate on what matters in your life.
Not money. Not time.
Your deep desire to change someone’s life with YOUR skill set.
And you don’t need a 40-step guide to create the perfect webinar, or workshop, or eBook, or lead magnet to make it happen.
You guys. There is NO roadmap.
There’s just you, with all your no-makeup, sloppy sweat pants, cluttered pantry, carpet stains, nagging relatives, and what you feel CALLED to do, despite having an extremely normal and sometimes uninspiring life.
The connection you make with those people who buy into your mission to save the world with genuine health coaching,
or beautiful photography the captures authentic real life moments,
or by donating a portion of your profits to help end human trafficking,
or simply sending your child to college so that he’s equipped to change the world with HIS talent
… that is called “Marketing.”
Connect with authenticity. Acknowledge that your REAL mission in life is calling, and tell the world how you’re making it happen.
What’s your mission in life?

Hey guys! Rochelle here.
I absolutely LOVE how so many of you have taken the leap into Facebook Live by participating in our challenges over in the group, Marketing Strategy for Tech-Challenged Solopreneurs.
There’s no avoiding it. LIVE video is where it’s at.
But more importantly…
It helps with SALES.
Because people don’t buy out of support. Or because you’re pretty. Or because your dog is cute.
People buy because they CONNECT with you. They get attracted to your story. They love to see your REAL life, not the curated, photoshopped, edited version. THAT’S what sells your packages and gets you clients.
They buy from you because they like YOU. Even if you sell the exact same thing as 200 other coaches out there.
But… ya gotta work your way up to being completely vulnerable on the interwebz, right?
Where do you start? What if no one shows up? What if you make an idiot of yourself?
Start right here.
In my Facebook group, I’m asking my members to be brave and go live, following the prompts I post.
Some are fun. Some are deep.
(This one is DEEP.)
Valid from NOW until Thursday this week! (New prompt on Friday and Sat)
This one’s a doozy.
Go live in the group and tell us about a mistake you’ve made in your business in the past, and how it has HELPED you build the business you have today.
Then feel free to pitch your freebies, services, promos, and anything you want, at the end of the video.
“Whaaaaat!! Admit my mistakes?! Won’t that make me look like an idiot, and I already feel like a crazy fool going live on the internet without a revealing prompt like that?!”
Okay, hang on. Deep breath.
It can be anything.
The truth is that your ENTIRE life experience has been building you up to be able to follow your passion and present yourself with confidence to your clients through your work.
It doesn’t have to be huge and major. Just be real with yourself, and pick ONE mistake you’ve made when it comes to your business.
Here’s why I’m asking you to do this:
No one talks about mistakes. (Or if they do, it’s not until they’ve achieved some crazy intimidating 6 figure goal, and only THEN do they open up the curtain and admit what really happened behind the scenes.)
No one is perfect.
Everyone has made a mistake. Multiple.
And ALL OF YOU are even more experienced and qualified to do your job because of those mistakes.
In case this freaks you out…
Going LIVE to talk about your mistake will accomplish the following things:
1. It will help your AUTHENTICITY level. It will make you seem more human, and people buy from HUMANS, not robots.
2. It will force you to admit (and possibly forgive) a mistake you’ve made in the past that you’re not quite “over” yet.
3. It will help you HEAL from that mistake. And forgiveness and moving on are always good things.
4. It will allow you to give yourself MORE credit for all of your experience. Because ALL of it is valuable experience — even the stuff that sucked.
5. It will inspire someone else who is struggling with that “mistake” right now to embrace it and see how it will help them, eventually.
I know this isn’t easy, guys. But I know you can do it. This is a safe place to admit that you’re human, and I PROMISE it will build your credibility, not tarnish it.
Be open, be honest, and embrace every single piece of your life that has led up to this point.
Will I see you LIVE in the group?
I believe in you!
💥Happy Memorial Day Weekend to all of my United States Biz besties! I hope you’re having a relaxing time with people you love. Thank God for my country! I love living here and I’m so thankful for the safe life I have thanks to our brave men and women in uniform. 🇺🇸
Who else is overrun with temptation to purchase ALL OF THE Memorial Day promotions? Somebody hide my wallet!! 👛
(Not that that will help. All CC info is saved into my computer.)
But anyway, moving on!
I’m going through my own transformation over here and wanted to give you all an update! 😀
I’m making the (somewhat painful) transition from being a service provider to being a teacher. I really love teaching and making my own courses.
Like, REALLY really.
I also had to take a hard look at who I want to work with and what I stand for.
Here’s where I’m at:
I feel like there’s a huge gap in the online business world between “normal” everyday people who are just starting out and the “big bucks” people who can manifest the shit out of anything within 30 minutes.
I know there isn’t THAT much of a difference, but there certainly is a divide.
I want to be that influencer to brings online entrepreneurship into my real world:
- The world where people are standing in line at Home Depot.
- The world where people are looking for the $0.99 cent gift bags at Walmart.
- The real world where people really are suffering and unhappy and have no idea that all this opportunity exists online.
I want to be able to turn to a real-life friend and say “actually it’s totally possible” without her thinking I’m brainwashed and following a pyramid scheme.
I want to be able to manifest money for OTHER people.
That being said… I can’t do EVERYTHING.
So I’m still focusing on the technical aspect of online business + marketing strategy (the parts I LOVE! 💚💚)
The hardest part so far has been letting go of focusing on budget-strapped newbies.
I’ve learned that I can’t spend all my time convincing people that business takes money.
Not tons of money, mind you — I don’t subscribe to the “You have money mindset issues, so let’s put thousands on your credit card so that I can pay off the thousands someone made me put on MY credit card.” It’s a weird, neverending cycle that I just don’t get.
But yes, investing is crucial.
Probably even MORE important than that is the simple feeling of SURRENDER that it takes to sit back, say “I need help” and accept it when it arrives.
I like putting out crazy-affordable offers that directly solve peoples’ problems. Like right now I’m promoting my $97 course on Facebook Group promoting strategy and sweetening the deal with 1:1 skype calls, copywriting help, and email support for FREE.
It’s truly a package that feels close to my heart, and at least I know that I’ve put it out there.
If only a handful of people are brave enough to dig in and get things done this month, that is perfect.
If I’m overrun with 1:1 calls, copywriting edits, and a hundred personal emails to read each day, then that is perfect, too!
(This is my version of loving my life and being at peace with whatever God throws at me.)
How about you? Are you truly at peace with how you’re running your business?
What has been the hardest lesson you’ve learned in your business, lately?
I believe in you!
